The leaves of autumn are almost gone and amid sunshine
and leafless trees we again returned to cenotaphs to honour
those who gave their lives so that we might live in peace.'
At schools across the province Remembrance Day
ceremonies told the story and helped to ensure that the past.
will not be forgotten. M St. Anne's, Ms. Tigani and fellow
staff, along with many talented students. reminded us how
precious peace is in a moving and meaningful way.
The new Provincial Report Card was sent on Friday and
parents of Grade 9 students only. are reminded to complete
all page two portions and return them to the school in the
. next few days. Parent's night was Nov. 16 and if you were
unable to make it to the school, please contact the school to
make. alternate arrangements to speak with your student's
teachers.
The new report format has been used for all grade levels at
St. Anne's. Patents of Grade 10 to OAC students are asked to
. disregard the columns labelled as "learning skills." This
applies to the new assessment models created along with the
new curriculum.' •
The second clarification is that the course median shown is
in fact a class median for the specific class or section in
which your student is enrolled.
• The third area which may cause some confusion is the total
number of classes. The total should read 48 classes however.
if the student transferred sections or entered the course late.
the number will reflect the total number of classes attended
since the transfer.
Times late tl ill show how many times the studeni has
arrived to class late and show which class the late applies to.
If there are any questions please attach a note to the Grade
9 response form, or if it applies to Grade 10 to OAC students,
attach the note to the half -page, purple signature form that
should be signed by the parent or guardian and returned to.
the home room teacher this week.
