This year the lights arc shining on Nov. 2K. when the Seaforth Community Hospital Auxiliary hosts its 7th annual 'tree of lights fundraiser to raise money for equipment at the hospital. • [:very year the auxiliary. fundraises fora new piece of equipment at the hospital. The money from the tree of 'lights this year is going to a new machine called the Excel. whjch is used in• the physiotherapy department at• r County approves 2% wage increase . Hufon County Council. la4t week, approved a two per cent wage increase'for its. non-union employees over the next three years. The first' increase is retroactive to Jan. Iii. 1999. Council also approved an increase in the employees' y Ision care benefit. . In keeping .with the county's position that they strive: to treat hon-u,nibn employees. as equal as unionized employees. an agreement was settled to increase the- vision care benefit from S100 every two 'yehrs to. t15d every two years. CUPE's current vision i care -"benefit is -S150 every two years. t Daycare centre raising funds with calendar The Seaforth Co-operative Children's 'Centre hopes_ to raise $9;500 towards . upgraded playground equipment by selling 'a calendartrilled with local children's artwork this 'fan.
