The Ontario Provincial
Police impacted the lives of
10.362 motorist% un Oct. 2
during Operation Impact.
Of the %ehtcics stopped. 138
motorists \►ere charged for not
%k caring their scat hells, eight
►►ere charged with impaired
dnsu►g and 92 other Highway
Traffic .Act charges were laid
by police.
The OPP wish to remind
motorists that the Fall Scat
Belt Campaign will coniine
until Oct. 16. Police remind
motorists that wearing a seat
belt is not optional. 1t is the
law. •
Motorises who fail to wear
their scat kelt assemhly. if
consicled. will .gain two
demerit points on their license
as well as be charged 5105.
