Young Seaforth golfers do well
at Junior Invitational tourney
News at Seaforth Golf
Club: A week has gone by
since the Huron Hospice
Celebrity Scramble took
place at the local course. It
was a resounding success in
spite of the fact that
headliner, Moe Norman, was
ill and unable to make it to
the scheduled golf clinic. We
are all looking forward to the
rescheduled clinic and will
keep all participants apprised
of the situation.
Dan Halldorson and Ken
Venning did an excellent job
filling in for Moe and
everyone agreed that it was
an excellent part of the day.
Mike Watt was the captain of
the winning team, which was
comprised of four gentlemen
from Ainsdale Golf Club in
Kincardine, including owner
Al McKay. Watt's team shot
an incredible 20 under par 51
to edge out Dan Halldorson's
team of young Seaforth
members,, Reegan Price,
Keegan Teichert, Bruce
Griffin and Sean Beattie by a
single shot. All subsequent
prizes were decided by a
draw.
The celebrity silent auction
raised a considerable sum for
the charity and all
participants agreed it was a
great day.
