Scott Hilgendorff photo Sports Seaforth's i8th annual Terry Fox Run to be held Sept. 19 The Annual Fall and Winter Program .Registration Nights will be held on Sept. 1 and 2 from 7 to 9 p.m. each night •at the Seaforth and District Community Centres. Come register for minor hroomhall, figure skating, ringette, curling, kids adventure club. andSubs. Scouts and Beavers. • The figure skating club will he hosting a skate and dress exchange during the two registration nights. It will also he hosting power skating for children six and up in two sessions - October to December and January to March.. Adult skating lessons will also he offered on Thursdays. Terry Fox Run planned Seaforth will he hosting its 18th annual Terry Fox Run on• Sept. 19. • • Seaforth's run will hcgin at the arena, which will he open .from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Seaforth has raised more than $40,000 since it began hosting the run. Pledge forms can he picked up at the town hall, the PUC office, arena. library.. post office, Sparky's. Pizza Train or the chiropractor's office. Fitness is Fun begins The Seaforth recreation department will he hosting Fitness is Fun -cin Tuesday and Thursday mornings and Wednesday evenings beginning Tuesday. Sept. 7. Tuesday 'and Thursday morning classes will he held from 9 to 10 a.m. and Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.rn.. Step aerobics and floor aerobics will he a combined class from 7 to 8 p.m. (There may, he some confusion from Blyth Festival hosts first golf tourney The Blyth Festival is delighted to be hosting their first annual golf tournament on Friday. Sept. 17 at the Seaforth Golf and Country Club. The day will begin with registration and picnic lunch at noon, followed by a hot air balloon raffle 'hall drop' at 12:15 p.m.. in which the first hall dropped into the hole will win half the raffle proceeds. A shotgun start at 1 p.m. will officially begin the 'hest hall' tournament. Huberts will lead you in the evening classes. Kay has recently moved to the Seaforth area from Stratford where she instructed fitness classes. Hockey skills camp The Seaforth recreation department will be hosting a hockey skills camp from Sept. 20 to 24 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. each night. This camp is open to hockey players from novice to pee wee age groups, with 7 and 1/2 hours of instruction by Brian O'Reilly for $50. For more information or registration please call the recreation office at 527- 0882. Happy Citizens gathering The Seaforth_ Happy Citizens will gather at the Seaforth Legion on Thursday. Sept. 2 at noon for a potluck dinner. Please bring your own dishes. After lunch, enjoy a few games of euchre and the new card game, pepper. All seniors are very welcome. Admission is $1..
