Peach cheescake topped off with whip cream and fresh peaches was served as everyone enjoyed the piano music of Marian Rose. Although some of our days seemed a bit cooler this month, we managed to pick perfect weather for our bus trip to Goderich. Residents were in for a treat as we enjoyed pizza for lunch down by the beach. Our Thursday barbecues continue to be popular as residents enjoy eating outdoors. Another popular treat enjoyed every Sunday afternoon has been hand - dipped ice cream cones in a variety of flavours. Bingo, euchre, sing-alongs and outddor walks manage to fill the remainder of our summer days as well as just Residents enjoy chicken feast at St. Christopher's Beach Residents of Maplewood Manor enjoyed -a number of outings during a very busy summer. An outing to St. Christopher's Beach was the perfect place to have a feast of fried chicken and the trimmings. There were a few who braved to test the water while at the lake. An evening performance by the Clinton Legion Pipe Band on the front lawn at Maplewood was one of the highlights of our summer activities. We especially enjoyed listening to young Jim Campbell play the bagpipes. Residents were invited to a garden party at the home of Cheryl Wilkinson where we admired her beautiful backyard with flowers, vegetable garden. fish pond and even doves. Before heading home we were treated to homemade pie. Residents truly appreciated the afternoon at Maplewood Manor the Lions Park where they were treated to a chicken barbecue hosted by the Seaforth Lions Club. The guiding dog demonstration, musical entertainment and delicious meal made for a great day. Toes were tapping as residents enjoyed an afternoon of music with Max Ducharme and the Townliners. Residents gladly accepted an invitation to the home of Bill Gibson in Hensall. The garden party along with musical entertainment was most enjoyable for everyone.
