Last Tuesday, Eileen Adamson and Neil Beucrman won the • • consolation.prize howling at London's Elmwood Club. . Bowling in Brussels on Thursday, Lee Ryan and. Carol Carter won first place while Jack and Marie Muir were 8th: Friday. three Seaforth teams bowling in a tournament and Thelma Coombs and Neil Bcuerman were fourth while Jack and Mark Muir were sixth. Two men's pairs took part - in a Woodstock tournament on Wednesday. Saturday saw • • Lawn bowling several Seaforth rinks .bowling in Mitchell. In first place were Lee Ryan and Carol Carter of Seaforth with Shirley Schmidt of Goderich as Mad. Second place went to the Seaforth rink of Jack. and: Marie Muir and Bob Doig. Clinton had a ladiespairs tournament last Monday but due to the extremely hot weather, just played three, ten -end games. , Coming up this week at the' Seaforth Greens will be - -the Etuc Tournament on Wednesday commencing at 10:30 a.m. white on Friday evening, at 7 p.m. will be. • optional. singles. Moving from St. Ursula's Parish, Chatham, he, has moved into St. Patrick's - Rectory in Dublin, and will serve the parishes of St.- _Columban. St: Patrick's. Dublin and St. Vincent De Paul, Mitchell. He was•warmis' greeted by the parishioners as he arrived , to say the Saturday evening Mass which was cocelebrated with Father Paul Mooney. in St. Columhan. - During the homily; he told us a little about St. Columban himself. The youngest of a large - family, he assured us. he feelsas much at. home hailing hay. feeding pigs and doing welding and repair jobs as being a pastor to the people. The St. Columban Men's Soccer team played an away game in Wallaceburg this past week. The St. Columban team played seven players against eleven for -most of the game and kept it tight until late in the, second half when Wallaccburg broke out. defeating the locals, 4-0. In the Recreation League. St. Columhan defeated Brussels by a score of 2-1 in a game played Sunday attemoon in St. Columban. st. Columhan goals were scored by James Dick and Brent Hulley.
