The Kindergarten classes are learning about the sea and going on a trip to Storybook Gardens in London. Also, they will visit Maplewood Manor and sing 19 the residents that live there. The • Grade I class went on a trip to Wawanosh, along with the Grade 2s. The Grade 2s also made their First Communion June 6. The Grade 8s and field was on May 28. All went to Toronto for their students who participated put in a great effort. The system's track and field meet was in Goderich on Thursday, June 10. St. James won a school award for Huron County and alt the athletes had a successful day. A play day was held at St. James for the students who did not go to Goderich. We would like to wish everybody a great summer, after they say goodbye to the school books and all -the hustle and bustle. We hope that everyone enjoyed the school year. First prize went to Dean Bergsma and Shane Maxwell of London Elmwood. 2nd was Fred and Betty Tilley of the Seaforth club, 3rd went to Bill Baxter and Maureen . Thompson of London Fairmont; 4th Peter arid Gloria McFalls of the Exeter club; 5th and high two games went to George and Darlene . Wood of St. Marys: 6th went to Erich Matzold and Jean Lunn, Scaforth; 7th went.to Bob and Kathy Proudfoot of / London Eljnwood: 8th Lee Seoforth Lawnbowling Club Thistle Club; iOth. Henry and Mary Drachenberg. Exeter and consolation prize went to Wes and Shirley Hague of Woodstock. The Seaforth greens are noted for being in excellent condition and Saturday's weather made the new j umbrellas a welcome addition for both bowlers and spectators. Tuesday evening June 22nd was Ole June social with a potluck supper and lawn howling add euchre after. Winners for the lawn bowling were Jack Muir, Gar Baker and Marg Ungarian. Euchre winners were high: Bessie Boyd and Marjorie Rock and Beulah MacKay (tied); Ione hands: Mary Finlayson and Viola Lawson. Consolation'prizes: Grace Broadfoot and Viola Taylor. The July social will be' July 27th with hostesses being Bessie Boyd. Olive Papple and Helen McKenzie. The Clinton Lawn Bowling club will be guests at the p.m. in a mixed jitney. Please sign on the sheet in the club house if you" can attend. Three teams were in Mitchell last Thursday in a ladies pairs tournament while two mens pairs were in Exeter on Wednesday in men's pairs. Bowling at London Thistle Club last Thursday in the Watford Nursing Home Tournament Fred and Betty Tilley placed third with three wins. • Members were saddened to hear of the death last week of Frances Tuer of the Mitchell Lawn Boxivling Club. " - Huron 4-H Chinchilla Club has successful year The Huron County 4-H Chinchilla Club had another successful year with twelve members. The club had a display ofchinchillas at the Huron Buy. Selland Swap Day held in Seaforth on March 27.. Members also went on a field trip to Jack and Sharon Wilkins' chinchilla operation near Lucknow. For those who were interested Jack, did a pelting demonstration. In the afternoon we visited Dorothy Bere's chinchilla operation near Dungannon where John Storey gave a combing demo.
