Vet discusses sheep health at
Huron Sheep Club meeting
•
Huron Sheep Club
- The second meeting of the Huron Sheep Club was held on
May 17 at Florence Pullen's home.
When we first arrived, we played frozen tag. Then we
judged a class of breeding ewe lambs. After this, we went
inside and had roll call. The question we had to answer was:
What signs would a sheep show that would tell you it was
sick?
When roll call was over, our visitor Clare Tompkins, a
veterinarian from Wingham, spoke to us about sheep health.
She talked about topics such as diseases'and symptoms of
diseases. vaccinations and deworming and lambing.
The next meeting will take place on June 28.
