Seaforth organizes bus to Nations Cup
Last week the world of
women's golf -was focused
on at the US_Ladies Open.
Canadians were cheering on
several of their own and Lori
Kane from PEl kept us keen
with her.strong performance
and fourth place finish.
The f.P(,A players `•
provided golf fans with a
great opportunity to see fine
golf. Most of the women
don't hit .the ball as far off
the tee as most men do on'
the PGA tour and therefore
their positioning on the
fairway and approach shots
tend to be less influenced by
length from the tee.
The ladies play with skill
and determination. They
practise for long hours on the
range and on the putting
green both before and after
their competitive round.
Many of them are wives and
mothers and still have to.deal
with the day-to-day.family
respomsihilities in and around
their job" 'of playing
competitive.•golf. '
They travel week after
week following the tour
events. staying in motels.'

One of the" major events
that the women compete in is
the • DuM,aurier`
Championship which is
essentially the women's
version. of the Canadian
Open. Last year; it was in
Windsor and some of our
meint'ers attended the event
