OPP target aggressive drivers
Aggressive drivers are the.target of an OPP
campaign from May 14 to 28 in Huron County and
across the province.-
"Aggressive
rovince."Aggressive driving has a devastating effecton the
lives of families in Ontario," says .senior constable
Don Shropshall.
"Many drivers disobey the. rules of the road and do
not use common sense. They,put themselves, their.
passengers and other motorists at risk," he says.
In Ontario, .600 motor vehicle collisions happen
every day and as a result, one person dies every nine
hours. In 1998, the OPP investigated 63,138 collisions,
of which 523 people died and 22,768 were injured. .

SPOT SPRAYING OF WEEDS
in rural areas, including the roadsides of County, Provincial, and Municipal roads,
will commence on May 31. 1999, for a period of approximately 12 too. weeks.
Herbicides to be used are: AMITRbLT, Registration No. 165¢8; and
DIPHENOPROP, Registration No. 15707. Both productslare registered under the
federal Pest Control Products Act. To be controlled are noxious wedds as per the
Provincial Weed Control Act.
This notice complies with Section 68(2) of Regulation 914 under the Pesticides Act.
