depression
in elderly,
20 per cent
suffer
Depression in the.
elderly is far more .
common than has heen
.acknowledged in the
past,. the Health and
Seniors Committee- of
Huron County Council
learned recently.
The prohlem is often .
undiagnosed and is
complicated to.
determine but can be
treated through
medications.
It takes about six
.weeks for the
medications to become
effective.
Minutes from the..
meeting indicate the.
county's two homes for
the aged have many
residents being treated.

that relates depression

Committees could consider a merger
