A donation of $25 will be given to each 4-H club. Minutes of the last meeting were read by.Betty Hulley. The treasurer's report was Seaforth Women's Institute given by Helen \1a. Kende. The meeting was turned. over to Jean Keys and Olive. Papple. • Olive 'Papple gave a reading on Seaforth. We sure • had some great factories in those days. .. Jean gave a reading on quilts. . Jane Kuepfer was the guest speaker. She showed a video on 'her trip to Alabama, when her husband went to rebuild churches that had been burnt. • We are very lucky tothave a place tike Canada to ti4e/in. The minutes from the last meeting were then read by the secretary. Patricia Martin. then watched a movie on sprayer safety, features of sprayers and chemicals, • Everybody split into two different groups and Case} and Jeff. the two group • leaders showed us three different kinds of sprayers. The first type. we looked, at was a pull type on the 3 point hitch. Casey explained all the different' features on it and we moved on to a new self propelled sprayer with a 90 foot hoop. `Again Casey explained to us• how it worked and Nome safety features. Everyone then hurried over to'another pull—_them type sprayer hut a Hardt one and not on 3 point hitch. W'e lurked at it and Casey told us about the different features that are different from the other tu'o sprayers Casey also showed us how the controls for the sprayer work and we got to play around with it. • Everyone went- to their seats again and we watched a inovie on how accidents happen.around sprayers and chemicals. Passions meeting in February, we received our hooks and discussed the.cluh * criteria. Everyone was on time to Vanden Hiwen's and we began with the 4-H pledge fed by our leaders. Gorda Vanden Hoven.
