Pallbearers were Jim Etue, - Paul Malone, John Van Dooren, Gary Nicholson, Dale Ratcliffe and Larry McGrath. Flower bearers were Kendal Carnochan, Jesslyn Carnochan, Stacey Carnochan, Karyn Sutherland and Ryan Keys. The eulogy was given , by Jack McLachlan. Bill served on Tuckersmith Township Council for thirteen years, being elected as Deputy Reeve in 1988 and current- ly serving as Reeve since November, 1991. He served on most boards anti committees within the township. Bill was a member of Brucefield United Church, an appointee for the District Health Council, an active member of minor sports, coaching hockey and. ringette, as well as playing hockey for many years, a former member of the board tor Seaforth and District Community Centres and current member of the • trailer park commit-. tee for Huron's IPM '99. The soloists were Lisa and Lynn DeJong and organist was Carol ' Carter. Fondly remembered by six grand- - children. Also survived by three sis- ters in Belgium. Predeceased by her parents, son-in-law Archie Goossens (1971), and two broth- ers. Born in Clinton on Aug. 13; 1939, he was the son of the late Cecil and Edith (Johnston) Cartwright. He was mar- ried to the former Marjorie McEwing on Nov. 4, 1961; Mr. Cartwright was a farmer in Hullett Township. He was a member of Londesboro United Church and the Londesboro Lions Club. Mr. Cartwright was the dear father of Carol and Ben Munnings of Clinton, and Neil Cartwright and his special friend Megan Clements of London. He was the brother of Keith and Linda Cartwright 01 London. Mr.. Cartwright was the loved son-in-law of Janie McEwing of Seaforth and the dear brother-in-law of Florence Cartwright of Londesboro, Beth Read of Seaforth, Noreen and Herman Lefler of Waterford, Alec and Sharon MacEwing of Maryhill and Karen McEwing-McConnell and John McConnell of London. He was the loving grandfather of Nicole and Matthew Cartwright. and Alex and John Munnings. Mr. Cartwright -_ was predeceased by his parents, Cecil and Edith Cartwright, by a brother Norman Cartwright. and by his father-in-law, John McEwing. Visitation for Mr. Cartwright was held at the Beattie -Falconer Funeral Home in Clinton on Sunday, Feb.. 14` .-memorial service was held on Monday, Feb. 15, with Rev. Paul Ross of Londesboro United Church officiating. A private interment of ashes will take place at the Clinton Cemetery at a later date.
