Sliver Stick play Action began Jan. 29 with a 4-4 tie against Parkhill. Goals were scored by Tyler Van Drunen (2). Brad McLaughlin, Ryan O'Reilly. They next played Quakers from Pennsylvania) with a 4- 0:win. Goals were scored by Kenzie Currie, .Jimmy Campbell, Ryan O'Reilly and Matt Chaput. The following day. saw the team playing Embro for a 4-3 win. All of. Seaforth's goals were scored by Brad McLaughlin and the game earned the team a place in the. semi-final round. Jan. 31 saw the team take on Stayner for a 2-1 semi- final win in overtime. Tyler Van Drunen and Kenzie Currie scored those goals. • . In the final round, that saw the 2-1 win against Parkhill, Matt Fisher and Connor Maloney scored Seaforth's goals..._ High goals Campbell' said reaching the semi-finals was the team's goal for the weekend but .they worked hard and surpassed it. They • now . have high expectations for the coming playoffs. Campbell said the team has been up against most of the others it will face there and expects they will continue to do well against them. The Seaforth team is finished regular league play and is waiting for the rest to wind down before taking on Milverton in the first round of playoffs. Campbell expects them to start around the middle of this month.
