and more. He has more than
1 2 year's experience in
Huron and Perth hospitals.
All five and Adamson
will be involved in strategic
planning,. regional system
alliances and integrated
clinical program planning.

from across. Canada,
responding to an
advertisement placed in The
Globe and Mail in
December. Of them, 17
were interviewed.

Council looks at naming business committee for award
A committee of council will look into
'suhmitting nominations for -a provincial
Ontario Volunteer Service Award and
an Outstanding Achievement Award for
Volunteerism.

Retention and Expansion Committee

work very hard for this community. •
Committee members got together on
their own out ot, concerns for the
Seaforth business community -after the
loss of two major. businesses a couple
years ago. The. committee began_
looking at ways -.to help the business
community and its mandate tit .a pilot
project of the Ministry of Agriculture,
Food and Rural Affairs. Through that
'program. rhe group became the
Business Retention and Expansion
Committee and is. currently preparing a
report based. on information from a
detailed survey of the area's business
community. From that report will come
recommendations and efforts to help
enhance the area's business and
industry. - • .
Robinet said if they were eligible for
the award. it would he a pat on the.back
for them and is,about the only way for
that group to receive.recognition.
Steffler asked if the volunteer awards
presented at the annual BIA Christmas
gathering would be another way where
those people could receive recognition.
Robinet and Steffler were appointed
to look into the volunteer service
awards.
Applications must be made by Feb.,

won't take place until 2001 or 2002,

Forrest said the MTO will :pave the
boulevard on the south side of the
highway from Coleman Street to
Centennial Drive but that wilt mean
some sidewalk repairs are needed: why
pave that part, and when will it take
place)
Forrest -said -council will have' to
decide whether or not to do the
sidewalk repairs or put off the road
work for a year.
