The harbingers of spring are ar- riving daily. This week, we have noticed for the first time that the Martins have returned' and have taken possession of their old 'haunts in Mr. Fitton's verandah and other places on Main street which were provided for them in past years. Special Easter services were held in James at. church on Sunday. .A reception service was held in the morning when several, united with the church.. At the evening ser- vice the choir rendered the beauti- ful cantata "The. Crucifixion" by, Stainer. Among those who . took part in the solo work were Miss Reta Rowe; Messrs. Chas .Godbolt, Walter Cutbush, Wm. Ford, Lloyd Parsons and the organist, Mr.W. R. Goulding. The pastor, Rev. W. E. Donnelly delivered a short but `in- teresting Easter message. The Tuxis Boysto the number of twenty had a most enjoyable trip on ; Tuesday and made London ;a much livelier place. They'. ;visited' McCormicks and in addition to wat- ching atching. the whirl of machinery and studying the process of manufacture they consumed a good share of one day's output of candy. The, capac- ity is over 30,000 pounds a day, so the boys felt that a real, good treat would not embarrass the firm. A trip to the Kellogg Corn Flakes fac- tory' was thoroughly enjoyed* and the insight into the methods of pro- duction was a real education. In Ithe afternoon •the time was spent at a the Hobby Fair and a. keen interest was taken in the many exhibits of art and technical work and all kinds of homecraft.
