Mr. G. J. Dow last week shipped
three loads of horses from Exeter,
two to Toronto and one to Montreal.
He paid out over $11,000 for horses
during the week.
Mrs. Thos, Oke, who spent "the
winter in Windsor with relatives,
visited here for a few days,, during
the 'week before returning to her
home in London.
Miss Witts, of Clinton, has taken
a position as bookkeeper with the S.
M. Sanders Mfg. Co. Miss Witts
was former bookkeeper with the
Jackson Mfg. Co., of Clinton.
Mrs. John Parsons of town is in
receipt of a beautiful necklace from
Mrs. Leonard Deo, sent from St.
Petersburg, Florida., The necklace
was made by Mrs. Deo from beads,
the seeds of Palm trees and the
leaves from the .Australian pines.
Rev. Herold Willans, of Ripley,
who tinderwent a serious 'operation
in. Victoria Hospital, London, two
weeks ago is reported to be in a
critical condition, Rev 'Willa/is was
formerly a pastor of the Grazed Bend
circuit and is widely known through'
