end at his home at Strathroy owing.

Shier is a Kirkton boy.
Libby, McNeil and Libby shipped
a carload -of pickles on. Monday
from their salting station. -here to
their factory in Chatham.
B. W. F. Beavers will have a
demonstration of paints and var-
nishes on March 27th and 28th. See

.Mr. Alf. Paul, of Kirkton, has
purchased a butcher business in St
Marys, which he will run in conjunc-
tion with his Kirkton business.
Rev. S. W. Muxworthy, of Forest
is visiting his daughter, Mrs. Garnet
Passmore. 'Mrs. Muxworthy has
been here for a couple of weeks.
The concert from London , that
was advertised for the Opera House
this Wednesday evening has been
postponed owing tb the lack of in-
terest.
Allen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm.
Fraser, Huron St., has been confin-
ed to his bed for the past week, suf-
fering' from an attack of pneumonia,
but is now improving.
Mr. Benson Tuckey has taken a
position as dryg'bods clerk with
Jones & May, taking the place of
Mr. . Reg. Knight, who has taken up
farming on the London Rd., South.
Rev. A. Holmes, of Clinton, con-
ducted the services in the James St.
church on -Sunday preaching two ac-
ceptable sermons. The Pastor, Rev.
W. E. Donnelly conducted ,,annivers-
ary services at Wesley church, Clin-
ton.

the week -end in Exeter, attending
the funeral of their brother-inlaw,
