Special Olympics expands
Ontario Special Olympics
is pleased 'to announce the
expansion of it's programs in
Vanastra. Currently volun-
teers and athletes are being
recruited to participate in two
new Special Olympics pro-
grams.
Swimming starts Nov. 28 at
Vanastra Recreation Centre,
"Toronto Blvd.. Vanastra.
Registration starts at 12:00
noon and practice will go to
1:30 p.m. There is a cost.

Ontario Special Olympics
is a non profit organization
that provides sport training
and competition in a variety
of sports year round to chil-
dren and adults with a mental
disability.

various sport clubs, athletes

Bake sales, Christmas parties and bazaars
The Seaforth Lioness Club
invites everyone to check out
its annual bake sale, this
Friday, starting at I p.m. at the
"Ice Dreams" store on Main
Street. near Keatings.
The Seaforth Co-operative
Children's Centre invites all
families to its Christmas Party
this Sunday. There will he
swimming at the Vanastra Rec
Centre from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.,
then you can drop into the hall
at the Centre for some
refreshments and a visit with
Santa Claus.
The Children's Centre is
also hosting a "PD -Day
party" on Nov. 27. Children
can bowl, have pizza for
lunch, visit the library. then
watch a movie while snacking
on some popcorn. Those
interested must sign up in
advance at the Centre.

computer courses in

Simply Accounting. Adults
can enroll at anytime and
establish a flexible schedule
that fits around their work or
home Iifc. The centre also
offers more than- 30 high
school credit courses for
adults interested in completing
their OSSD and or upgrading
their skills. Adults can start
anytime and attend
part-time, full time or study at
home. Teachers arc available
to help on-site or by phone.
For Seaforth residents who do
not have, transportation to
Vanastra. the centre can
arrange a drop off point in
town for completed lessons.
The CHSS adult learning
centre is open 8:30 - 4:30

Tuesday until 9 p.m. For
