COMMITTEE REPS Reeve Steffler was on the University applications coming due This time of year always causes anxiety in the lives of graduating students. October and November marks the deadline date for university and college applications. Students are faced with the pressures of choosing their future. In two short months students must make important decisions that will affect the rest of their lives. At the ages of eighteen and ninetcen, many students are not prepared to make these decisions. Universities and colleges are aware of this problem and have produced a program that helps students to make informed choices. Graduating students take many interest questionnaires that arc designed to give students direction and information. Post secondary school also provides school drop -ins when a spokesperson informs the student of available programs. Videos, pamphlets and portfolios arc made available to provide information as well. It is a challenging time for graduating students but with the help and support of parents, teachers, guidance counsellors and university information sessions students should find this important time of decision making made easier.
