Child care was offered by Kevin Verberne, Shannon Brooker and Ken Lesley. Sharon Allison, Resource Teacher Consultant from Community Supports for Families and Betty Duwynn, Parent -Infant Therapist from the Home Visiting Program at CP.R.I. spoke to the group. The topic was "Inclusion". What is inclusion'? It is about embracing humanity and figuring out how we are going to live with one another in the challenging years to come. Cat. DEATHS CARDIFF, James William: Mr. James William Cardiff of Brussels passed away at Wingham and District Hospital on Sunday, October 4th, 1998. He was in his 64th year. Born in Grey Township on February 21st, 1935, Mr. Cardiff was the son of the late Albert and Florence Cardiff . In 1955, Jim mar- ried the former Karen Mary 8uschlen and farmed in Ethel until 1962 when he moved to Listowel and sold real estate. He retumed to Ethel and ran the hardware store till taking a position as a salesman for Glen Eaton Bam Painting until in 1967 he took over his father's insur- ance business selling for Howick Mutual Insurance Co. In 1970, Jim Cardiff Real Estate and Insurance opened in Brussels which later became Cardiff and Mulvey Insurance in 1978 with the addition of partner Keith Mulvey. In December of 1983, Jim sold his share of the business to Mr. Mulvey and in 1987 joined McKillop Mutual as manager until his retirement this past September. Jim was very active within his community serving on the Brussels Medical Centre Board, the Wingham and District Hospital Board, Huron County. Housing and the Brussels Cemetery Board. Mr. Cardiff will be sadly missed by his wife Karen and his' children Murray Cardiff of Guelph. Greg Cardiff and his wife Brenda of Listowel, Mary Lynne White of London and Susan Elliott and her husband David of London. Dear brother of Isabel Pearson and her husband George of Ethel, Jack Cardiff and his wife Audrey of Rk #5, Brussels and Jean Wolfe of Salmon. Arms, British Columbia. Also tgved by his sister -In-law Barb Cardiff of Petrolia and his nine grandchildren. Predeceased by his brother Jerry and his brother-in-law Bob Wolfe. Cremation. Friends were received by the family on Tuesday evening at the Schimanski Family Funeral Home, Brussels. On the morning of Wednesday. October 7th the family, gathered at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Ethel for the interment of Jim's cremated remains. Later that day a memorial service was held at the funeral home with Reverend Christine Johnson officiating. Eulogies paying tribute to Jim's life were given by his son Murray and his son-in-law David Graeme Craig sang 1 Believe" and 'On Eagle's Wings' the latter accompanied by Joanne King on the piano. Following the service the family received, friends at Brussels United Church. George was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 4156 Seaforth. George served with the Elgin Regiment as web as the Sherbrooke Fusiliers during the Second World War. Friends were received at the Box and Smith Funeral Chapel, Seaforth, on Tuesday, October 6, 1998. Royal Canadian Legion Branch 0156 Seaforth held a service at the funer- al home on Tuesday evening. Funeral service was held at the funeral home on Wednesday October 7, 1998 at 2 o'clock. Reverend Judith Springett of Egmondville United Church officiat- ed. Interment Egmondville Cemetery. Flower bearers were nephews Bob and Doug Smale, and Sandy and Ted Lamont. Pallbearers were Jim Watson, Jack Muir. Bruce Lemont, Tom Marinelli, Jim McNichol and Greg O'Reilly. As a tribute to the lite of Mr. Case a tree will be planted in his memory. 42-41-1 • 47. CARDS OE THANKS Staff said Cardiff was an important Zink to the husincss for its policy holders and provided thein with much support. He was a dedicated, team player and will be missed by staff, clients and the business community. • He died Oct. 4 in his 64tH year at Wingham and District Hospital. He sold his share of Jim Cardiff Real Estate in 1987 to' joined McKillop Mutual Insurance Company, retiring last month. MCKELLAR A big thank you to family, friends and relatives for the many acts of kindness shown to me while a patient in University Hospital and at home. The many phone messages, visits, cards and prayers sure did help the healing process. The gifts end fruit baskets were enjoyed also. Thank you to the gide who helped with the household chores and also a special thank you to Dr. Hart and his team for their excellent care along with Dr. Zettel and Yee.
