4-H club tours. Van Egmond House
On Sept. 27, the members
and the leaders of the
Heritage Club met at the Van
Egmond House. While we
were walking around we saw
many different displays such
as candles, gourds, pumpkins,
crafts, rope making, apple
fritters in the making, candy
apples, apple cider, an old
washing machine, an old
steam machine and corn
grinder. After we looked at
some of these things we went
for a tour inside of the Van
Egmond House. Inside we
saw butter in the making,•old
fashioned quilts, and there
were a lot of other old
fashioned displays. After we
toured the Van Egmond
House we went over to the
Egmondville Cemetery. In the
cemetery we did a few
tombstone tracings. We then
viewed the dates and years of
many.
