Wednesday evening co-ed
volleyball is set to start Oct.
14. This program will be
held at Seaforth District
High School from 8:15 to
10:15 p.m. each Wednesday
evening, for 10 weeks before
Christmas and 10 weeks
after. If you are interested in
coming out please call the
recreation office. _
"Story hour"
Story hour starts at the the
Seaforth Library on Oct. 16
and runs each Friday
morning from 10:30 to 11:30
a.m.- For more information

Parent and tot playgroup
The Parent and Tot
Playgroup continues every
Tuesday morning at the
Northside United Church
from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Guest
speakers will talk from .10 to
11 a.m.. October's topics
are:
Oct. 13 - discipline and
encouragement:
Oct. 20 - reading to your
child and literacy awareness
Oct. 27 - Block Parent
program:
T.H.E. Bus will also he at
the playgroup on Oct. 1.3 and
27.
Supervised child care is
available during the sessions
at a cost of •S 1.50 per family

Citizenship Awards
The recreation and parks
committee is now accepting
nominations for Scaforth's
annual citizenship awards. in
three categories:
• service to'sportsi - a
person that volunteer ti his or
her time to sports
organizations. or sports in
general: .
• civic service - a person
that belongs to a service club
n which he or she
contributes many hours for
the betterment of the
community:
•• humanitarian award - a
person who is considerate of
other people and is willing to
• give his or her time to do so.
These award, are chosen
based on the individual's
contribution to the
.community in a volunteer
• capacity. Anyone may.
nominate an individual for
any category by`submitting
the.names, what category.
and a reason why they
should receive tht award.
Nominations can he mailed
• to the Seaforth Recreation
Office at P.U. Box 885.

fax or e-mail the office at the
numbers at the end of this
column.
Deadline for nominations is
Oct. 16.
Senior shuffleboard
Senior shuffleboard
continues every Wednesday
afternoon from 1:30 to 4
.p.m. at the Seaforth and
District Community Centres.

Thieves steal
Brussels liquor
worth $13,500
Thieves made off with
300, 40 -oz or larger bottles
of rum, rye, vodka and gin
in a break-in at the Brussels
LCBO` on Sept. 24.
Ontario Provincial Police
say the liquor was worth
513,500. and the thieves got
in by spinning the front
door lock.

Susan Lyn Stewart and Mark John Campbell
were 'united in marriage on August. 15 at
Northside United Church, with Rev. Jane Kuepfer
(] officiating. Susan is the daughter of loan and the
late Mac Stewart of Seaforth and Mark is the son
of Jim and Pat Campbell of Stratford. The Maid of
Honour was Nancy Stewart, sister of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Mary .Lou Stewart .and Liz
Becker, sisters of the bride. Best man was Jason
Satchell, friend,of the groom, and the ushers were
Roy Armstrong, friend, of the groorn, and Bill
Stewart, brother of the hnde. The Flower girl was
Holly Becker, niece of the bride and Ring bearers
were Luke and Dalton Becker, nephews of the
bride. The organist was Doug McTavish, friend of
the groom and the violinist was Scott Campbell,
brother of the groom. The readers were Anne
Marie Satchell, friend of the groom anid Sherri
Forrest, friend of the bride., Following the
cerenion' a reception was held at the Seaforth
and District Community. Centres. The couple is
now residing at R.R. «1, Dublin.
