CAMPBELL PHOTO Both sheep clubs make it to final O11 August 24 the Huron Sheep Club had its fifth meeting at Florence Pullen's. First. they went to the hart to look at a handling system. `1r. Pullen put two ewes through to show us how it works. Then we went hack to the house and did roll call. The question was: "Name one. special instrument used by a shepherd during the lambing season." Dicks return Ree and Louise Dick returned Friday August 28/98 from Victoria. B.C. after a week's stay with their son Kevin who is 'a'trading Seaman on the HMCS Vancouver. While there they toured his ship and saw where he maneuvers it. Thanks to beautiful weather and Kevin's friend Rob who save up his room for us we had a very enjoyable time. The Go For The Gold was on August 4. Both Sheep Club teams got to the final and Sheep Onc won the game. Sheep Onc consisted of Robyn Etherington, James McNaughton, Laurie Rodges and Derek Maloney. They competed again on August 29. Soloists and choirs joined the orches- tra in unison. Family mem- bers and friends enjoyed the performance and cheered Madonna on. Madonna and husband John are presently with the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra in Thunder Bay, Ontario. She was well known and respected as a library consultant and teacher. Heartfelt sympathy is extended to her family, rela- tives and many, many friends. The funeral mass was celebrated on Wed. Sept. 2 at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Stratford with Rev. Father Richard Tremblay as celebrant. Congratulations to Trish Murray, daughter of Arthur and Connie Murray, RR 1, Dublin, who recently gradu- ated from the teacher's col- lege at Ottawa, after complet- ing her Bachelor of Arts at Brock University, St. Catharines. Trish has accept- ed a position in Colombia. We wish you success, Trish, and will miss you. A special Dublin family celebrates this week.
