Everyone is welcome. Last week's winners are: Lawes: Shirley Morrison 248, Audrey McLean - 178 and Helen MacKenzie - 121. Men: Ken Preszcator - 405, Bruce McLean - 269 and Earl McNaughton - 247. Registration Nights for Fall and Winter Programs will be held on Wednesday, September 9 and Thursday, September 10, 1998 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm each night at the Seaforth and District Community Centres. Come out and register for Figure Skating, Ringette, Minor Broomball, Curling, Kids Adventure Club and the Scouts, Cubs and Beavers. Tables will be set up for an equipment exchange. Please mark all equipment with name, phone number and asking price. Equipment is put on table at your own risk, we are not responsible for lost or stolen articles. Please pick up equipment promptly after Thursday evening. For more information please contact the Recreation Office at 527-0882. The Figure Skating Club would like all parents registering for figure skating to bring two cheques, one for registration and one for fundraising. Fitness, Step and Line Dancing for the Fall Session is being planned to begin the week of September 8, 1998. Drusilla will be instructing Aerobics on Tuesday and Thursday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 am as well as Line Dancing on Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Dance to the Golden Oldies and Country. Sue Hannon will once again instruct the Thursday evening Aerobic/Step combined class beginning on September 10, 1998 from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. Sue will also be instructing a Stretching and Strengthening Class. This class gives you a good workout for your muscles and is good for people with back problems. Registration fee is $40.00 for one class, $60.00 for two classes or $75.00 for three classes. To register please call the Recreation Office at 527-0882. The Annual Terry Fox Run for Cancer Research will be held on Sunday, September 20, 1998. The Seaforth Run will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 beginning at the Seaforth and District Community Centres. Pledge sheets are available at the Recreation Office, Arena, Town Hall, PUC Office, all Banks and the Post Office. Come out and support this worthy cause. You can run, walk, ride, bike, rollerblade or whatever suits you best. Let's continue to show up in large numbers. Did you know that Seaforth has raised $38,161.69 at the Terry Fox Runs since 1982? If you are unable to be in Seaforth on this day, you might want to take in the run at another area site. .Brussels, Exeter, Lucan, St. Marys, Stratford and Zurich all will be hosting runs. The Seaforth Recreation Department will be hosting Power Skating and Hockey Skis Camp during the First week of September. Details are stillbeing worked out. CAMPBELL PHOTO Uub holds 20th annual tournament Exeter couple takes first place honor Seaforth Lawn Bowling Club held its 20th annual anniversary tournament with a double draw commencing at IO a.m. Drawmaster Fred Tilley welcomed everyone on behalf of the club for coming. Art and Mary Finlayson donated 1st prize for the tournament and also other members donated food and prizes to make this year's tournament the success it was. First prize winners were Peter and Gloria McFalls of Exeter and first prize was presented to them by members of Art and Mary's Lawn Bowling family namely Diane March, Brenda Empey and Brett Finlayson, all who bowled in the tournament. Second prize went to Lee Ryan and Carol Carter 3w+44+5 and Lee took the lovely afghan knitted and donated by Thelma Dale for his prize. This is the 20th afghan Thelma has donated to the club. Third prize went to Ed and s at lawn bowling anniversary event Ellen Edwards of Heritage Members have been active Greens Club, Kitchener with in out of town tournaments 3+44. Fourth was Bert and recently and Fred and Beth Christine Wydeven of St. Tilley captured 1 st prize at Marys with 3w+40. Fifth the Ducklow memorial place was Jack and Audrey tournament in Mitchell. McDonald, Lucknow, Last Thursday at Brussels 3w+40. Lou and Audrey mixed pairs Jack and Marie Cundari of St. Marys were Muir placed 4th while Lee 6th with 3w+38. Seventh Ryan and Carol Carter were prize went to Lionel and 5th. Lee and Carol also were Wilma Young • of 5th in Stratford on Sundae in Southhampton with 3w+36. the P.H.
