This year's event included 22 prop- erties in the Hensall, St. Joseph, Varna and Brucefield areas and was a great success. Members of the Hensall community will receive their Volunteer Service Awards at an Aug. 15 beef barbecue. Ron McTaggart will be rec- ognized for Humanitarian Service; Julie Ritchie for Sport Volunteer; Ken Clarke for Civic Service. Proceeds from the event will go toward community service projects. The evening will include a chicken and roast beef buffet, entertainment by the Maitland River Chord Co. and award ceremony and great door prizes. Decoration Day will be held at Hensall Union Cemetery at 2 p.m. on July 26. Nic Bayley had a recent success in New York City. The WOAA confirms the Hensall Sherwoods plan to play in the west division with Clinton, Goderich, Lucknow, Ripley and Mildmay. The Monkton Wildcats are possibly another WOAA expansion franchise.
