On Wednesday, thirteen ' greens were in play for the men's pairs. First place went to the Chesley rink of 'Brad Fleming and Wayne Wright. Second was Bill Furlong and Doug Ross of Ingersoll while third :place went to the father and son duo of Bob and Brian Bester of Hanover. Fourth were Peter McFalls and Ray Triebner of the Exeter Club adn fifth was • ken Pusi and Chris Johnston of St. Mary's. Jack McDonald and Don McKinnon of Lucknow were seventh with Harry Urghuart and Moe Cousins of Woodstock taking eigth place. Consolation winners were Ken Barber and partner. of Brussels. Thursday .morning- saw ten - greens of ladies pairs bowling in the Mel and Esther .Brady Memorial Tournament. Winner of the day was Sandra Jarmain and her Sister of London's Thistle Club. In second place -was .Carmen Mclnerg and a partner from London. Third was the team .of Marg Solomon and Jane 'Treleaven of Lucknow. Fourth was Pat Standheaven of Woodstock and Shirley Hague of Norwich playing together, Fifth went t Stratford's Audrey Hepburn and Eileen Schneider -and sixth went to Betty Tiller and Maddie Murray of the local club. Maddie is one of the club's new bowlers and it is good to see them competing in tournaments. Carol Carter adn Catherine Van Doornick were seventh with consolation going to Shirley Schmidt and partner of Goderich. This Saturday, at 10:30 a.m. will be the annual Etue mixed paris at the Seaforth Greens. In past years, this has been a popular tournament. In out of town tournaments, Jack and Marie Muir placed third at Stratford last Sunday in a mixed pairs. tournament. -Also on "Tuesday in a mixed trebles tournament in Atwood, Jack and Marie Muir and Jim Stotts again placed. third. Two Seaforth entries of men's pairs were in Woodstock on Saturday. bowling _ in a men's tournament. . - Several' local clubs are hosting tournaments the coming week and Seaforth bowlers hope to be able- to participate. • June 23 will be a pot luck - supper at the club house at 6 p.m. with lawn howling or cards after.
