Seafor'th Community Hospital's activation group programs
by helping plant flowers in the planters outside the
hospital. The wheelchair -high planters let patients get
close enough to enjoy the gardening work.
Grade 4 students
organized play day
for Walton school
The Grade 4s showed what
great organizers they were by
running Play Day on
Tuesday for the rest of the
school. They had such games
as "hole in the bucket",
"dizzy stick". "sponge toss"
with Blake Miller and Kevin
Hood as victims, 'obstacle
course" and "bean hag toss".
The teachers pointed out
hot, supportive of the
younger children the grade
4s were and were very
pleased with them.
On Wed. 14 new pre-
kindergarten children
showed up in Mrs. Scott's
room to sec what school
would he like. Some thought
it would he fun and a few
thought that home would be
a better place.
The Fun Fair was held
Wed. night and what a great
turnout. The crowd enjoyed
cart rides pulled by a
miniature horse, unwrap the
gum game, face painting,
fishing pond, shoe kick, and
of course, having their
fingernails and cards read by
Madame Rosa (who only
tells it like she sees it). -
The next day at school
hikes of every color and size
were in the yard as it was

Officer Don Shropshall was
there and it took all day to

Dianne Van Vliet and son
Andrew, were greeters at
Duff's United Church on
June 14th, the 133rd
anniversary.
The sweet smell of peonies
at the front of the church
filled the air and the
melodious sounds of
Margery Huether on piano,
Phyllis Mitchell on violin
and Glenda Carter at the
organ beckoned people
entering the church.
Rev. Murray welcomed
everyone and gave the "Call
to Worship" and invited
•everyone to sing the introit,
"Spirit of the Living God"
Rev. then announced that
congratulations were in order
as Neil McGavin was chosen
Citizen of the Year and Mary
Humphries was elected
Senior of the year for Grey
