Board declares Seaforth land to be surplus Slightly less than an acre of land along Highway 8 through Seaforth has been declared surplus by the Huron -Perth Catholic District School Board. Superintendent of busi- ness/treasurer Gerald Thuss says this is a first step in a "detailed process" that could lead to the parcel, zoned commercial, being listed on the open market. The parcel fronts the high- way, three blocks cast of the lights, between the restaurant on thc corner of Coleman Street and residences on the south of thc road. it is one of three parcels in the same spot, totalling seven acres, owned by the board. The rest of the field isn't considered surplus and will stay the same. 'The declared -as -surplus process means the district public school board and gov- ernment get first shot at the particular property if they so desire. if not, then "for sale" signs could go up on the par- cel. got to go visit this weekend with Peter and Scott Murray.
