The Seaforth Student
Employment Office is open
for business.
This year marks the 30th
anniversary of the youth
employment initiative and the
employment officers are antic-
ipating an exciting summer as
a result.
•If you are a student looking
for employment. the centre
can assist in a number of way.
You can drop by the officer
and register which will enable
the employment officer to
notify you about odd jobs that
come into the office.
You can access other sum-
mer jobs currently advertised
on the Internet, job kiosks and
weekly classified ads which
are all availahle at the busi-
ness centre.
There is also a 24-hour job
information line at 524-8916.
If you need to construct a
resume or cover letter. assis-
tance is availahle or you can
work independently on the
public access computer.
Information on summer
employment programs for this
year is also availahle to both
students. and employers at the
Student Centre. Employers
'have the opportunity to post
their positions. free of charge
on the Internet. job kiosks and
to obtain recruitment and
referral services.
The centre also provides
information on wage.rates.
employment standards and
human rights.
Officers encourage students
and employers to drop by the
office, to become familiar with
the services.
The office is located in the
Huron Business Centre at 138
Main Street.

Jumping with heart - Students at Seaforth Public School took part in a jump-a-thon
Friday afternoon to raise money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Students raised
about $2,800 in pledges for the event.

Tapping toes and dancing
galore was the result of the
visit from "The Zurich
Connection'.
Residents took advantage
of the fine spring weather and
took a drive to Bayfield
where they admired the many
spring flowers and of course
the deep blue color of the
lake. Spring must he here ---
ice cream cones were the
treat of the day.
