EXETER BAND AT SDHS - the South Huron District High School band played for staff and students of Seaforth District
High School, and guest schools, Sdaforth Public School, and St. James School, SHDHS's band played rock, bellied and
swing pieces to an entertained audience. Songs performed include "Carry on My Wayward Sun," by the rock group,
- -- Kansas, and other pieces with soloistperformances: Conductor Bob Robilliard took the band of mostly senior students to
compete in the Music Fest Regionals in London, where the band won gold, qualifying themwfor the nattonal tournament In -
Vancouver. SHSS will compete in the upcoming Cleveland Heritage Music event.

This was the last euchre of
the season at the'Legion
Hall.
The opening of the lawn
howling season is scheduled
for Monday. May 1,8th at 2
p.m. There will be bowling
in the afternoon followed by
a potluck supper at 5:30 p.m.
This will be our May social
and euchre will be played at
the club house following
supper. All members and
associates are included.

woman
killed
in crash
A 35 -year-old Londesboro
area woman was. killed
when the station wagon she
was driving and a tractor
palling a seed planter
collided in Hullett
Township on the evening of
Apr. 22.
Marie Charbonneau of RR
I. Londesboro was
pronounced dead at the
scene after the accident on
Huron County Road 15. at
Lot. 8 Conc. 11 of Hunch.at about 10:17 p.m. that
Wednesday.

off by the impact with the
tractor, pulling a 20 -row
planter at its eight -row
towing position.
It was driven by Harry
Vannloorsel, 61, of RR 5
Mitchell, who was not hurt.
Road conditions were
clear, according to Ontario
Provincial Police, who
continue to investigate.

Klaver.
The greens, , committee
have been .busy on the
greens getting lights up and
the Indies -wilt -be having a
cleaning bee. The executive
plans for a spring meeting
this week and, all look
forward. to a good lawn
bowling season.
