Nominations for proposed slate of officers
The March general meeting.
was held last Thursday.
Nominations for the pro-
posed slate of officers was
held. Nominations will again
be opened at the April meet-
ing and anyone wishing to
have their name stand can he
nominated. 1t is hoped that
some of thc younger mem-
hers will be willing to run for
an office. If for any reason"
this person is unable to he
present at the April 16th
meeting, a letter of intention
must be in the hands of the
secretary prior to the meet-
ing.
-It-was decided that in the
future in lieu cif flowers tieing
•sent for the funeral of any
member of the Branch 156. a
donation will he made to the
Veterans fund, at Parkwood
Hospital,_ London in their
name.
.A joint 'installation with
Brussels Legion . and
Auxiliary will he held- at
Branch 156, Seaforth on May
22nd. -
Anyone who still -has
unsold duck race tickets
which they may -he unable to
sell. please return them to the
Branch. All tickets arc out
and arc in demand. •
Comrades from the Exeter
Legion will he visiting
Branch 156 on March 28th.

Day.
Grace Drummond wel-

the meeting with an "Old
Irish Verse".
The Ode was sung and the
Mary Stewart Collect repeat-
ed. •
Ten members- answered the
rbll call with their favorite
Irish song.
Articles in abundance were
donated for the Children's
Hospital and dishcloths were
received that had hecn com-
pleted since our lesson last
Month,
The minutes of the last
meeting were read and it was
brought to. our attention that
we supply the beverage for
(he District Board'mccttnt! on
April 7. -
The -collection was taken.
. Ruhr 'Triehner and Grace
Drummond each had a joke.
Everyone participated in the
motto "stress is• like an ice,
cream cone. you have to
learn to lick it."
The. best solution we found
was that we should practice
the 4F's -.have Fun. strike up
a Friendship, get, Fr,:esh air:
have Faith.
Hilda Payne had a couple of
smiles. Lil McLellan read
two poems and Ruby
Triebner had another story
written by a friend.
Everyone- wracked their
brains thinking of words that
can be made from (he word
hamrock".
Lil McLellan gave courtesy
remarks and Hilda Payne had
her scrap book on display.
Irish songs were sung and
then we worked on our crafts.
Lunch was served .by Hilda
Payne and Rena Caldwell.
