The shooter (#22) is Pat Culligan. Hawks take 2-1 playoff lead as Cents falter Seaforth's Centenaires had their 10 -game unbeaten string on home ice snapped in over- time Friday, and faced almost "must win" situation there last night in the Ontario Hockey Association Junior "D"evelopment League's Morelli, Division final with the Exeter Hawks. Results weren't available when this paper went to press. But the Cents put on a lack- luster show in Exeter Sunday, dropping a 7-3 decision and thereby falling behind two games to one in the best -of-. seven series. Game five is slated for Exeter tonight at 8:30, but the Centenaires' midget affiliates probably won't be available. The Seaforth midgets are scheduled to play at Dorchester in the third game of their OMHA semi-final, which is knotted at one game apiece. The defending Morenz Division champion Centslost the first game in their own rink since the first week of December Friday night when veteran Scan McCaan of the Hawks scored 7:22 into over- time inside a packed Seaforth arena Friday. He also led the way Sunday night in Exeter with a pair of goals. "They arc not doing their job as a team," says Seaforth manager Dave Parsons, who wasn't even overly pleased with the way the Cents played when they opened this series with a 5-3 win at Exeter last Tuesday night. "They seem to have lost ear.., something in between their first-round series win over first -place Lucan and this series. "They have to stay focussed on playing hard all the time." Mark Van Dooren, Steve Mclnally and Shaun Anstett scored for the Cents Sunday night, who trailed 2-1 after the first period and 4-2 alter the second, and were outshot 42-38. Shawn Walsh's goal at 13:55 of the final period sent Friday night's game at Seaforth into OT. Anstett and Mark Van Dooren also scored. Exeter led 2-1 atter the first, 3-1 after the second and had more shots, 31-30. Seaforth led the opener 3-1 at Exeter going into the final 20 minutes. But The Hawks scored 50 seconds into the final frame, and again less than a minute later to tie it up. J. C. Kirk's goal at 14:48 of the third stood as the winner. Scott Henderson provided the insurance with an empty -net - ter in the last minute. Anstett, Mclnally and Scott Henderson scored Seaforth's first three. The Cents led 1-0 after the first period.
