TOWNSHIP OF TUCKERSMITH
PUBLIC MEETING
CONCERNING A PROPOSED
ZONING AMENDMENT
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the
TOWNSHIP OF TUCKERSMITH will hold a public meeting on
Tuesday, March 17, 1998 at 8:00 p.m. in the Council
Chambers, Municipal Office, Vanastra, to consider a proposed
Zoning By-law Amendment under Section 34 of the Planning
Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make
written or 'verbal representation either in support of or in
opposition 10 the proposed zoning by-law.
If a person or public body that files an appeal of a decision of
the Corporation of the Township of Tuckersmith in respect of
the proposed zoning by-law does not make oral submissions at
a public meeting or make written submissions to the
Corporation of the Township of Tuckersmith before the
proposed zoning by-law is adopted, the Ontario Municipal
Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION relating to the proposed Zoning
By-law Amendment is available at the Tuckersmith Municipal
Office during normal business hours. A copy of the draft by-law
is attached for your information
DATED AT THE TOWNSHIP OF TUCKERSMITH
THIS 25th DAY OF February, 1998.
J.R. McLachlan
Clerk, Township of Tuckersmith
GMB 117, R.R. #5,
Clinton, Ont..

PURPOSE AND EFFECT
The proposed Zoning By-law Amendment would change the
minimum lot depth in a Village Residential - Low Density (VR1)
zone from 46 metres (150 feet) to 40 metres (132 feet). This
rezoning would affect all lands in the Township of Tuckersmith
which are zoned as Village Residential - Low Density (VR1).
The VRI lands are in the villages and hamlets of Bruceield,
Egmondville, Harpurhey and Kippen and in the area south of
Clinton.
The rezoning is required since many urban Tots in the original
plans of subdivision are 40 metres or 132 feet In depth. The
current minimum depth of 46 metres (150 feet) Is excessive
and the change does not reduce the minimum required lot size.
The committee would like
to thank everyone for their
continued support. Watch
The Expositor and the recre-
ation booklet corning out in
March for a list of the games,
dates and times, and if you
require more information
please call the recreation
office.
