There will be no public
skating for the next couple
weeks, as a couple of annual
tournaments will be held at
the arena. The atom hockey
tournament is this Sunday
and the broomball tourna-
ment follows the next week-
end, Jan. 23 - 25. Public
skating resumes on Feb. 1
from 2:30 to 4 p.m.
The Seaforth Curling Club
hosts the bantam (girls and
boys) zone playdowns this
weekend, Jap.,16 to 18.
Anybody is Welcome to come
out and watch the action.

BEARS BEAT PANTHERS TWICE - Seaforth District High School's boys basketball
teams took on Exeter at the' local gym last Wednesday, with the local midgets (bottom
picture) nipping the visitors 61-60, and the Golden Bear juniors (top pic) also winning 63-
40: The senior Panthers prevented the sweep, beating Seaforth 82-69. Joe Kamerman
popped 30 points dor the SDHS midgets. Trevor Ward. paced the local juniors with 23
points, and Derek Nesbitt chieiping in 16. Sean Ludwig had 37 points for the senior
Golden Bears, with Barry Medd.and Bruce Griffin adding 10 each.
