Bantams bring back the bacon
by beating Watford again in OT
Brent van den Akker' and
Brian MacDonald also help
run the winning squad, who
got to toot around Seaforth in
the fire truck when they got
home Sunday night.
All the members of the
championship team are: Dan
O'Reilly, Joe Tunney, Ryan

At last week's regional'
qualifier at Watford, Seaforth
tripped their hosts 3-2 in OT.
Both squads qualified for
this weekend's final.
Head coach Paul McLlwain
says "all team members
played excellent hockey the
past two weeks, and really
deserved the championship."
He notes four of his players
were voted to the all-star
tournament team this week-
end: goalie Dan O'Reilly,
forwards Jason Anstett and
Derek Nesbitt and defence -
man Jason MacDonald.
Watford scored two quick
goals in the third period
Sunday night to force the
extra time again.
It was 2-1 for the local ban-
tams at the end of the first
period, and they scored three -
straight in the second to take
a 4-2 lead after two.
The winning shot came
from the point.
(See SCOREBOARD for
other marksmen in the tour-
nament.)
KINGSTON DUMPED
Four teams played in two
divisions at this weekend's
North American champi-
onships, with the top two
advancing to the semi-finals.
Seaforth finished second in
its group with a 2-1 record,
so .crossed over against unde-
feated Kingston, who topped
the other group.
It wasn't even close.
Seaforth built up a 5-0 lead
until Kingston broke Dan
O'Reilly's shutout hid with a
Curtis Murray and Jason
Anstett each scored twice.
