was the only one in Huron
and Perth Counties not plan-
ning to he open Sundays. •
Seaforth store first opened
for Sunday two weekends
ago. All LCBO outlets in
the area were open Sundays
last December too.
Coun. Lin Stetfler said
other stores are allowed to .

Teall said.
The rest of council agreed
with him.
Meanwhile, Clinton
Council continues to pursue
the controversial lottery ter-
minals for a proposed one -
storey structure behind the
grandstand at the Clinton
Raceway.
A council/raceway com-
mittee reported to Clinton
Council two weeks ago that
their plans met with favour
during a recent meeting
with the video lottery imple-
mentation team of the
Ontario Video Lottery
Corporation Ltd.
The committee feels the
possibility exists that
Clinton could receive
S150,000 per year from the
Ontario government "sim-
ply for hosting video lottery
terminals."
The province plans to
introduce VLTs this August.
Many municipalities. such
as London. voted against the
introduction of VLTs as a
fundraiser in November's
municipal elections.
Critics says these video
lottery terminals are the
"crack cocaine of the gam-
ing industry." and the social
damage they can do offsets
the hig bucks they generate.
