The Seaforth Agricultural
Society's annual farm -toy -
and craft sale is on Dec.6 and
7 this year, from 10 a.m. to
4:30 p.m. each day. There is
something for everyone.
Free skating both days (from
2:30 to 4 p.m.), free rides
between shows, food and
refreshments will be avail-
able. Admission is $3 per
day, allowing you into all of
the shows. Don't miss out.

Department hosts a St. John
Ambulance First Aid Course.
on Saturday, Jan. 10, from 9
a.m. until 6 p.m. and Sunday,
January 11 from 9 a.m. til 1
p.m. at the Seaforth and
District Community Centres.

Huron Hospice Volunteer
Service, Seaforth ministers
and funeral directors recog-
nize the need to help people
who have suffered losses to
get through the holiday sea-
son with hope. Therefore,
they have planned an event
and extend an invitation to
the entire community. A
non -denominational service
of remembering, "Hope for
the Holidays" will be held at
the St. Thomas Anglican
Church, John St. Seaforth on
Sunday, Dec. 14 at 4 p.m.

Man sentenced
A 37 -year-old Clinton
man, formerly of Seaforth
and Goderich, has been sen-
tenced to 90 days in jail for
possession of drugs for the
purpose of trafficking.
Gerald Andrew Barringer
pleaded guilty to the offence
in Goderich on Oct. 28,
1996 in General Division
court.

4-11. Their involvement in the 4-H
program. as well as organizations
in their community. church and
school are all considered. Other
aspects such as their leadership
roles. ability to communicate and
overall attitude are very important.
The nominees must be senior 4-H
members and have been involved
with 4-11 for a number of years.
All club leaders were asked to
nominate members from their club
who they felt qualified for this
award The following people were
nominated: Sandra Alton,
l_ucknow Beef Club; Heather
Becker. Huron County Goat Club:
Debby Iloggart. Chinchilla &
Maple Syrup Club; Derek
Maloney. Huron Sheep Club;
Kelly McNee. Port Alhcrt Club;
Katie McNeil. Hallrice Dairy
Club; Taylor Park. Port Albert
Club: Melissa Wallace. Chinchilla
Club.
These 4-11 members have
contributed in some way to their
4-11 clubs and their community. In
their own way. they have tried to
put into practice what they think
good citizenship means.
Congratulations to these eight
candidates for being nominated
and for trying. through their 4-11
and community involvement, to
make their community a Netter
place to live.
In the end. the interview panel
had to choose one award winner
and it was with great pleasure that
Murray Cardiff presented the
Murray Cardiff Citizenthip Award
to Kelly McNee of Dungannon
from the Port Alhcrt Life Skills
Club.
