The report stated: "Each of these options has been costed and compared to the project- ed local tax - i.e. the taxes that local municipalities will have to pay once provincial grants are eliminated and the costs of policing are added in for the townships." Later. it is also noted in the report that it has been estimated that polic- ing for the townships will cost $250 per household. Giving an overview of the options. Savings under this option might range from $1 million to $1.3 million. Reductions are equally small across the board, as compared to the projected local tax, there would be a range of one to three per cern in reductions.
