WHAT A GRAB! Senior students and staff squared oft on the diamond last Thursday noon at
Seaforth District High School for a bit of final softball fun and games before this week's exams.
More students seemed to be crossing the plate than staff. Mark Van Dooren didn't realty catch
this ball. He was hamming it up a bit for the photographer.

Brett Lee of Walton placed
second to national pro
defending champion Marco
Dube in both motos, in the
amateur program Youth class
for riders between the ages of
16 and 24, at a motocross in
Barrie on June 7.
It was one of the best fin-
ishes for this season so far for
Lee on his Kawasaki, with
the lead swapping several
times back and forth between
him and the current champ
from Quebec.
The next day, Sunday, he
finished 24th then 15th in
two 30 -minute races on the
same track against the profes-
sionals in round two of the
national championship series,
which returns to this arca
August 17 as part of the
Walton Grand National
Championship.
In the second pro race at
Barrie June 8, Lee battled
back from a "dead -last start,
extreme heat and a rough
track" to place in the top half
of the field of 35 motorcycle
racers.
Last weekend, Brett domi-
nated the youth class with
two runaway moto wins and
was sixth in the 250 pro class
at in the Ontario qualifier for
the Walton Nationals at
Auburn.
A TSN camera crew put
together footage for its
Compete show, airing July
26, including helmet cam

Central Huron Municipalities Restructuring Study
Newsletter #2: Options for the Future
To explore the possibilities which may exist to achieve cost savings to the
taxpayers of the following seven municipalities:
• Town of Clinton (482-3997) • Township of Goderich (482-9804)
• Town of Goderich (524-8344) • Township of Nutlet (523-4340)
• Town of Seaforth (527-0160) • Township of McKillop (527-1916)
• Township of Colborne (524-4669)
Information has been collected on existing municipal services and finances.
Options for how these services can be delivered differently and for new
government structures have been selected for further review and public input.
Three options are being looked at further:
• Improving the Status Quo: retaining the existing local government structure
(i.e. 7 municipalities) but identifying additional efficiencies beyond those
already achieved.
• Two Municipalities: restructuring into a Central Huron West municipality
(Township of Goderich. Township of Colborne. Town of Godench) and a
Central Huron East municipality (Township of Hulielt, Township of McKillop,
Town of Clinton and Town of Seaforth).
• One Munkipality: restructuring into a single municipality combining the
Township of Godench. Township of Colborne. Town of Godench. Township of
Hullett, Township of McKillop, Town of Clinton and Town of Seaforth.
Three public meetings have been scheduled to enable you to learn more and
provide your views. The dates. times and locations are:
• Public Meeting 11: Wednesday, June 25th, 7:30.9:30 p.m. - Central Huron
Secondary School in Clinton.
