It was one of the best fin- ishes for this season so far for Lee on his Kawasaki, with the lead swapping several times back and forth between him and the current champ from Quebec. The next day, Sunday, he finished 24th then 15th in two 30 -minute races on the same track against the profes- sionals in round two of the national championship series, which returns to this arca August 17 as part of the Walton Grand National Championship. In the second pro race at Barrie June 8, Lee battled back from a "dead -last start, extreme heat and a rough track" to place in the top half of the field of 35 motorcycle racers. Last weekend, Brett domi- nated the youth class with two runaway moto wins and was sixth in the 250 pro class at in the Ontario qualifier for the Walton Nationals at Auburn.
