Residents say `Goodbye to Winter'
April was the month for
residents of Maplewood to
enjoy all the sights and
sounds of spring.
A trip to Bayfield was a
perfect way to begin the
month. It was quite evident
that winter was surely behind
US.
A "Goodbye To Winter
Party" was held at
Maplewood. After a delicious
picnic style lunch in the din-
ing room, residents headed
for the ball diamond. What
fun we had with all the hits
and misses, not to mention
the tricks that a couple of the
players had up their sleeves.
Several residents enjoyed
the afternoon at the Spring
Barbershop Show. What an
excellent performance.
A spring fashion show was
the highlight of the visit from
Geri Fashions of London.
Viola Lawson, Jean Durst,
Helen Nott, Hazel
McGonigle and Olive Papple
did a great job modeling the
fashions. Door prize winners
were Helen McLaughlin,
Belle Roberton_ and Jennie
Turnbull.

especially enjoyed the special
visitor who came along with
Art Finlayson - a musical
frog.
Residents were treated to an
afternoon of piano music
