with the ,Roberts.

that the Premier and `Mrs.

Concern for cat owners
take wheels of, f ' buggy
Dear Editor:
I wish to extend the consid-
eration my neighbor 'has
shown me to the rest of my
neighborhood. It does espc-
cially rancor all families
that have cats for pets.
It was my privilege to be
warned by •my neighbor of
the presence of a h.vc trap
complete with bait on his
front step. It was also his
wish that I knew in no ,4neer-
- twin terms that he felt driven
to this and that it is for the
express purpose of trapping
cats to remove them to the
country. i regret to say, the
warning has come too tate for
enc particular cat, black. Jong
hair and wearing, a collar.
It ,was caught in the trap,
thrown into the trunk qP the
car, and taken; fora drive on
the evening of Wednesday,
May 7 and 1 refer the owner
of that cat to Paul Hildebrand
at44 West St. Scaforth.
Thc O.P.P. kindly investi-
gated the event and they
assure enc that Paul assured
them that he did not harm the
cat. therefore what he is
doing is not illegal our is it
classified as cruelty. We
could debate .whether luring
someone's pet was legal, ur if
it was theft. ur if indeed n is
actually cruel or nut to leave
a disoriented pet in the mid-
' die of nowhere alone and
defenseless. but thc point
• here is simply to extend the
consideration shown to -me
by my neighbor to the rest of
you. It's a wonderful day in
the neighborhood'
Sincerely.
