Students . from all over the

The students had a scav-
enger hunt and were sup-
-posed to find the secret iden-
tity of 11 other Hurim County

.The Grade 7 and 8 swims.
of SPS attended a presenta-
tion on the Titanic tusW at
Seaforth District High School
April 10. The students
walked to the school and
learned details of the 'Titanic
from a historian named
Santini. who has collected
artifacts of the Titanic wreck-
age_ from descendants of the
passengers..
Mr. Santini also intornusit
students that much of the
information that has circulat-
ed has heen proved fake, and
taught than) the truth. They
vievatd slides, they listened,
and they tearne.d about thc
host itself, and about aome.of
.the interesting passengers

.play at the Huron County
Museum in Goderich.
Grade 7 and 8 students will
he travelling to the London
IMAX Theatre to view the
Titanic movie. Prior to..that
they will watch the National
Geographic's version. They
will then compare the two.

Girls soccer update: A dis-
appointing .7-0 loss to South
Huron DHS dampened our
good start this season. but a -
close loss to F.E. Madill
was more heartening. We
now have I tic, 3 10StiCS and
four games to go. The next
game is May I at 3:30
against Goderich DC1 at

season with exhibition games

The students in the Grade
11 Famils, Studies parenting-
classes- were given an assign-
ment last week which
required thein to care for an
egg tor lour days. During
this time the students kept
journals recording their expe-
riences and the reactions they
encuuniered from others. The
egg babies" attended day
care in room 109 front 8:30-
3:30 and students were to
ensure that their egg baby
was never left -alone
Several students provided
their egg babies' With clothes, -
toys and -unique carrying
devices.
At the end of the fourth day
students shared their opjojaas
on thc activity. Thirty per
cern of the students did not •
enjoy having an egg baby for
4 day. but. 70 per cern did.
Their answers to the ques-
tion: What did you learn
from the experience of 'look-
ing after your '.'egg baby?"
• had to eat lunch quickly in..
order to pick their -egg baby
up during lunch
• had trouble studying on
the bus while holding their
egg baby .

opening of the joint Clinton
OMAFRA/ OMNR building.
The Ontario -Ministry of
Natural resources recently
relocated from Wingham to
join the Ontario Ministry of
Agriculture. Food and Rural
Affairs.
"Together in thc same
building, the two ministries
are now sharing front -counter
reception, telephones, fax and
office equipment.
"This unique concept is
leading to cost savings in the
Ontario public service," a
press release states. .

Huron -Bruce Reform party

recently as the riding associa-
tion's president. He was
