to individual tastes
Wong's Grill is
Seaforth's location for
delicious and healthy
Chinese food.
Originally owned by
John Jewitt, Seaforth's
only Chinese food restau-
ram located at 13 Main St.
South, was purchased by
present owners Anna and
Yee in January 1985. The
couple had previously
been leasing a restaurant
in London.
In addition to offering a
wide variety of Chinese
and a few Canadian dish-
es, Wong's Grill offers
daily specials and on
Fridays a smorgasbord
lunch. All of the food,
including the Canadian
cuisine, is homemade. All
ingredients are fresh and
prepared as it is ordered
and not in advance.
A special attraction of
this restaurant is that peo-
ple who are on special or
restrictive diets can order
specialty dishes with or
without certain ingredi-
ents, depending on their
needs. "Come in and let us
know. You have a choice,"
says Anna. "People on
diets can come for the
vegetables." She adds that
Chinese food is low in fat.
Busy cooking in the kitchen at Wong's Grill is Yee.
Tuesday to Saturday from
11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and
Sunday from 3:30 to 8:30
p.m.
The restaurant also
employs a few part-time
staff.
Anna says Wong's has
many loyal customers.
"We always keep the
customer happy. We're
very pleased that every-
body has given us a lot of
support in the Huron
County area."
For spice lovers, Wong's
Grill features a number of
curry and Sze Chuan dish-
es. "A lot of people love
them. They want it HOT.
We cook to people's
tastes," says Yee.
Wong's Grill provides
take-out meals for one to
100, or more! "There's no
limit on the number of
people..iust be sure to
order ahead of time," says
Anna.

Personal care and attention at
Box & Smith Funeral Chapel
Christopher Smith is the
owner and sole employee
of Box and Smith Funeral
Chapel at 47 High Street
in Seaforth. As such he
makes it a personal priori-
ty to provide caring and
compassionate attention to
the families who require
his services.
"My motto is to be dedi-
cated to confidence,"
Smith says. "I strive to
treat the families as if they
were my own." Because
Smith works alone, his
family helping out when
needed, he is personally
involved with his clients
and therefore able to pro-
vide the sensitive care
such circumstances
require.
The funeral home was
founded by one of
Seaforth's early active
merchant families in the
1920's. H.C. Box was one
of three undertakers in
Seaforth. Ernie Box also
acted as funeral director,
funerals often being held
in his furniture store. His
son Richard took over the
funeral business as well as
the furniture store and
built the funeral home at
its current address in 1951.
The M.L. Watts Funeral
Home purchased the busi-
ness when Richard Box
died and operated it until
1985 at which time it was
purchased by Michael
Falconer. Falconer prided
himself on "being dedicat-
ed to offering the finest of
service to Families who
choose us for the care of
their loved ones," a tradi-
tion Smith adopted when
he purchased the funeral
home in July of 1993.
"We strive to be an
active part of the Seaforth
community, sponsoring
community groups with
whatever project they are
involved with whenever
possible," Smith states.
"We are proud to have
been the first funeral home
in the Ausahle-Bayfield
conservation area to plant
trees in memory of those
we have conducted ser-
vices for." This is just one
of many extra details the
chapel provides.
Box and Smith Funeral
Chapel would like to thank
Seaforth and area residents
for their support and hopes
to continue providing their
special services for many
years to come.
