Seaforth Co-op Dolt Centre is a progressive and diversified agri-business offering members/owners an opportunity to benefit from ownership of a suc- cessful and profitable company. Located at 198 Main Street S., Seaforth, it is a co-operative store focused on the needs of the fann- ers, contractors and con- sumers who require farm supplies and building materials. The centre sells everything imaginable to meet their customers needs. Previously owned by the Seaforth Farmers Co-oper- ative, the store was initial- ly established to increase local ownership within an industry dominated by pri- vately owned companies, strengthen the fabric of the rural community by shar- ing local concerns, and influence the supply of products and services. Hensall Co-op took over the business in December 1983. Currently managed by Brian Nigh, the store reaches its objectives by providing excellence in facilities, a pricing policy that ensures fair and equi- table prices, and earning a profit to reward member/owners, ensuring continued growth of the company. A locally owned and independent co-operative, it earns the trust and respect of their patrons by. developing and training a courteous, innovative and knowledgeable staff con- sisting of Don Hoffman, Lois Scoins, Nancy O'Reilly, Randy Cook, Debbie VandenHengle, Joanne Sans, Ryan Nicholson, Jim Macleod, Nick Longstaff and Larry Ritchie. These employees enjoy providing a clean, modern shopping environ- ment with a broad selec- tion of products. "Friendly customer service is#1."
