PIGTAILS & RINGS - Seaforth's Belles (above, white sweaters) doubled Stratford 10-5 Sunday afternoon, but it was not quite enough to win their division at this weekend's ringette tournament in town. Seaforth wins berth in petite Provincials Local teams won two of the five divisions at this past weekend's annual Seaforth Ringette Tournament, and missed another by the slimmest of margins. Seaforth's petite "A" squad advanced to the provincial championships with two wins and two ties, to top the round-robin with six points. The Belle "A" division at this weekend's tournament also served as a provincial preliminary, and couldn't have been closer. Woolwich, Seaforth and Stratford all tied with four points after the round-robin, and a difference of only two goals between the three on goal differential. Woolwich won it but the Seaforth squad may still advance ih provincial play as a wildcard. That is still to be determined. Those provincial champi- onships are at Waterloo this season, March 9 through 12. Seaforth's novices waltzed undefeated through this weekend's sixth -annual local tourney, with 3 wins and a tie, including a big 10-3 deci- sion in the championship against Chatham. Twenty teams took part in the three-day tournament, including two bunny teams that put on an exhibition at noon Sunday.
