The Huron County detach-
ment of the OPP reports a
couple of other incidents on
the same day, Jan. 21.
Two tires came off a trailer
being pulled by a dump truck
driven by a 38 -year-old Arva
man at Highways 86 and 4 in
East Wawanosh Township.
Police say William
Vanderloop was driving the
1996 truck and same -year
trailer "owned by Arva HTS
Ltd. when the bolts for the
right -side tire of the first axle
broke and the wheel came
off...approximately one kilo-
metre south on Highway 4, a
second tire came off before
the driver stopped."
No charges are pending and
"there was no damage to
other vehicles or property as
a result of the tires coming
off the trailer."
HIT A BUMP
At about 2:25 in the after-
noon, in another incident Jan.
21, a 42 -year-old Brussels -
area man was in a snowmo-
bile accident on private prop-
erty in Ashtield Township.
OPP say Wilfred Strickler
of Grey Township at RR 2
Brussels hit a hump and the
Ski-doo's "front end came
upwards and hit (him) in the
face, he fell forward over the
unit and it rolled over him."
He was treated at the
Goderich hospital for "unde-
termined injuries."
Crime'Stoppers of Huron
County Inc reports, sometime
between Jan. 3 and 6, "cul-
prits pried open two cash
boxes at the Seaforth Car
Wash at 65 Goderich St. and
removed a., quantity of
money.'
A new purple and black
snowmobile (1996 Polaris
XLC, license #763361, VIN
#26064710966756) was also
stolen from Jonnymores
Roadhouse at Clinton, some-
time between midnight and 2
a.m. on Jan. 12.

Walk for
Memories -
$1,500 in
Seaforth
Despite all of Saturday
morning's snowing and blow-
ing on the weather front,
organizers describe the
Alzheimer Society of Huron
County's "Walk For
Memories" as "excellent,"
both here at Seaforth District
High School and at four other
high schools in the county.
Fran Hook of Egmondville,
and the Society, says about
$1,50(1 was raised in
Seaforth. Huron's total for
Saturday's indoor walk-a-
thon was approximately
$8,000.
