LADIES BROOMBALL
DEC. 11
PARR LINE 1
WINTHROP 2
Hang onto your hats folks
as Parr Line Ladies go
"down" for the loss. Their
only goal was scored by
Cathy Innes with a little help
from Glenda Chaput.
Winthrop is lost for words, as
both goals were crammed
into the net by Janette
Massie, plenty of help came
from Janice Finlayson and
Donna Arts. Great game but I
hear both teams went directly
to the pub shop to help
Norman drown her sorrows,
as she was but a little down
about being in the crease.
POLAR ICE 2
SOCIALITES 0
Socialites, tis the season to
be jolly, as your fellow team-
mates keep up their snirits,
but a little short on goals.
However, Polar Ice pops in
two quick goals, scored by
Tammy McKellar and
Darlene Copeland. Quick
passes by Wendy Treimstra
and Kim Fi son. •
GRAD311 HITMEN 4
Grads scored all their goals
in second half as points were
awarded to Tony Van Den
Huevel, Steye Wynja and
Mac O'Neil, with lots of
brilliant passes by Martin and
Al Wynja, Jim Nynhuis and
Raymond Ruston. Hitmen do
their job to keep the score
tied. Goals were scored by
speedster Darrel Eckert and
his other brother Steve Eckert
and two shiners by Kevin
Van Den Neucker. Oops, bet-
ter not forget Andre Gras also
scored a dynamite goal, quick
reflex passes by Jason Phelan
and Jerry Wright. Good game
by both teams.
Ladies Broomball: Dec. 18:
9 p.m. Knights vs Winthrop;
9:50 p.m.Winthrop vs
Socialites, 10:40 p.m. Parr
Line vs Polar Ice.
MENS BROOMBALL
DEC. 12
PARR LINE 1 ROYALS 0
Two minutes left in the
game and Parr Line takes the
lead as (Mr. Dolmage) or we
call him Dennis, uses his
wrist shot and puts the hall
over the opposing goalie's
shoulder. I sec Mr. Dolmage
has trouble getting his helmet
off. He thanks Mr. Darrel
Lavis for the perfect pass. It's
ok Royals there is (ways
next week. Just keep .ip the
steady pace. The Royals
never give up.
WINTHROP 2
CYCLONES 4
Winthrop never gives up a
fight, as Jerry Bremner and
Don Hoggart score each sin-
gle goals. Plenty of chances
were foreseen and no help
was needed for these two
lads. Cyclones are on a roll as
hot dog Adam O'Neil cap-
tures a couple of goals, or no
1 mean a hat trick for Mr.
O'Neil, with a single goal by
Rod Cornelius and a little
help from their sidekicks
Mike Doorelylies, Murray
Smith and Brian Bearss.
Good game. I guessed the
Cyclones are on a winning
streak.
KNIGHTS 1 GRADS 7
Lawrence Vink says who
can't score on the Grads as
he shoots and scores a bril-
liant goal and unassisted.
Now hear this, the Grads are
in high gear as goals are
accumulated by Raymond
Ruston, Al Wynja, Tony Van
Den Heuvel, Dennis
Dolmage (again), Chris Goris
He Man and Steve Wynja.
Lots of help came from Steve
Hulshof, Craig Smith and
Martin Wynja. Plenty of
penalties were also accumu-
lated.
Mens Broomball, Dec. 19:
9 p.m. Grads vs Hitmen, 9:50
p.m. Cyclones vs Parr Line;
10:40 p.m. Winthrop vs
Royals.
