NOTICE
WOMEN'S RESOURCE CENTRE
The Women's Shelter and Counselling
Services of Huron and Phoenix of Huron regret
to announce that they are no longer able to
financially support the Women's Resource
Centre due to funding cuts. The Centre will
close February 28 if no other plan is put into
place. There will be a community information
meeting to discuss possibilities for community
ownership to be held on Tuesday, January 7,
1997 at 7 pm at the Women's Resource
Centre. All interested persons are invited to
attend.

THREE AWARDS - Robert Vanden Hoven of RR 4
Seaforth was the recipient of three awards at the annual
Huron County 4-H awards ceremony held recently in
Clinton. Robert is shown here receiving the Huron County
Pork Producers' Award from Bruce Bergsma of the Huron
Pork Producers. It's presented to the member obtaining the
highest score in the 4-H Swine Club. He also won the Ed
Watson Award for the Champion 4-H Market Pig at the
Seaforth Fall Fair. Don Dodds, leader of the Central Huron
Swine Club, presented the award on behalf of Ed Watson.
Robert also won the National Trust Award for Champion 4-
H Swine Showman at the Seaforth Fall Fair. Brenda
Teichert made the presentation.
CIBC AWARD - Janet Vanden Hoven of RR 4 Seaforth
was presented with the CIBC award by Deb Brindley. The
prize is donated by the Brussels and Seaforth branches for
the top judge at the Huron County 4-5 Judging
Competition.

Dear Seaforth and surrounding area residents:
The Canadian Tire store in Goderich would like to advise
Seaforth and area shoppers that all new product warranty
returns and rain cheques issued by our Seaforth Associate
Store will be honoured by the Goderich location. If you currently
have an ' outstanding rain cheque, please check with the
Seaforth store forproduct availability.
Canadian Tire is building a new 41,000 square foot Associate
Store in Goderich, featuring over 21,500 square feet of retail
space and offering customers a superior shopping experience.
This store will enable us to better serve our customers and to
offer you a full selection of automotive, home, sports and leisure
products in a modern shopping environment.
As a result of the opening of our new Goderich location, we will,
regretfully, be permanently closing our Seaforth Canadian Tire
Associate Store on Sunday, December 29, 1996.
Plans are underway to hire approximately 30 additional
employees at the Goderich location. Every effort will be made to
relocate our 16 employees currently located at the Seaforth
store to the new Goderich Canadian Tire Associate Store.
We appreciate and value your patronage and look forward to
serving you over the holiday season in both our Seaforth and
Goderich locations.
